Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Jodhpur and visit Mehrangarh Fort and Umaid Bhawan

Arrive in Jodhpur and move through the dry air of the city toward your hotel. The land here feels open, with stone and dust shaping the edges of the streets. After some rest, walk up to Mehrangarh Fort. The fort rises from rock and holds its ground above the city.

From the walls, you see blue houses spread across the plain. The color holds heat and light through the day. Inside, rooms show old tools, weapons, and objects shaped for daily use and war. Each space reflects a slow passage of time.

Later, visit Umaid Bhawan Palace. The building stands wide and balanced, with clean lines and pale stone. Part of it still holds the royal family, while another part opens to visitors.

In the evening, walk near the Clock Tower. The market moves with sound, voices, and the smell of spices. Stay overnight in Jodhpur.

Day 1: Explore Jodhpur city and local markets

Start your day with a short walk to Jaswant Thada. The white marble reflects morning light and stands quiet beside the fort.

Move into the old city and follow the narrow lanes. The blue walls hold shade and keep the air cooler. Small shops line the paths and sell cloth, spices, and simple goods. People move at a steady pace through the streets.

You can stop often and watch daily life unfold. The city does not rush, and time feels slower here. Keep the day open and move as you wish. Stay overnight in Jodhpur.

Day 3 : Drive to Jaisalmer and visit Jaisalmer Fort

After breakfast, leave Jodhpur and drive toward Jaisalmer. The road cuts through dry land with low shrubs and scattered trees. You pass small villages where life depends on limited water and careful use of land.

The journey takes about 5 to 6 hours. The sky stays wide, and the horizon remains clear through most of the drive.

After arrival, visit Jaisalmer Fort. The fort rises from the desert and holds homes, shops, and temples within its walls. People still live and work inside, and the space feels active.

Walk through the narrow paths and watch how daily life fits within the fort. You can also visit Patwon Ki Haveli or spend time near the fort area. Stay overnight in Jaisalmer.

Day 4 : Desert safari and overnight camping at Sam or Khuri dunes

Travel toward the open desert near Sam Sand Dunes or Khuri village. The land shifts here, and sand forms long ridges shaped by steady wind.

Take a camel and move slowly across the dunes. The animal follows known paths, and each step settles into the sand. As the sun lowers, the light softens and spreads across the surface.

Why does the sand change shape each day Wind moves across the open land and shifts grains from one place to another. The dunes never stay still.

After sunset, reach your desert camp. Sit through a simple evening with local music and food. The night grows quiet, and the temperature drops. The sky opens wide, and stars remain clear above the desert. Stay overnight in desert camp.

Day 5 : Visit Pokhran Museum and return to Jodhpur for departure

After breakfast, begin the return drive toward Jodhpur. Stop at Pokhran Museum along the way. The museum holds local objects, tools, and records from the region.

These items show how people have lived with dry land and scarce water over time. Each object reflects careful use and long survival.
